Homeplace Ranch Homeplace Ranch is a year round working ranch, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, a Sarcee and Stoney Indian territory of the past that was and still remains cattle and horse country. Your stay at Homeplace Ranch will let you ride these rugged areas, venturing along lands the Indians called “Paradise”. Homeplace Ranch has been owned and operated by the Makenny family for 30 years. The guest lodges accommodate 14-16 people, all with private baths. Meals are served family style with guests and staff eating together. When you arrive you will be given a horse that will be yours for the duration of your stay. You are welcomed to help the cowboys feed and groom every morning. Each day you have the option to ride for the morning or the full day (where you will have your lunch around a campfire while the cowboys brew you some “cowboy cappuccino”.
