Glenbow Museum
Visit Glenbow Museum to see and experience Alberta’s history. First, explore our province’s unique story in our new gallery, Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta and then learn about the Blackfoot people’s rich and powerful history in, Nitsitapiisinni: Our Way of Life.

Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta

Glenbow’s new, permanent, $12 million gallery, Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta tells the story of Alberta through the lives of 48 mavericks – legendary and colourful personalities who shaped and defined Alberta.

Mavericks is an exciting approach for a museum exhibition. It brings the stories of our province to life for all ages and cultures through dynamic, hands-on and multi-sensory experiences.

Nitsitapiisinni: Our Way of Life Blackfoot Gallery

Wander through Nitsitapiisinni: Our Way of Life. Discover Blackfoot artifacts from Glenbow’s world-renowned collection and experience Blackfoot traditions and culture, in their own voice. Share their stories through interactive displays, videos, and a circular narrative path that guides visitors through Nitsitapi history.

Glenbow Museum is located at 130 – 9th Ave. S.E., Calgary. For more information, call 403.268.4100 or visit our website at www.glenbow.org
