Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive Centre
Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is one of the world’s oldest, largest, and best preserved Pis’kuns, or buffalo jump sites. In 1982 the United Nations declared Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Interpretive Centre offers visitors insight into the plains buffalo culture. Local Blackfoot Nations interpretive guides offer tours and educational programs. The main theatre features a detailed re-enactment of a buffalo drive and jump. The site also features a self guided walking trail, a gift shop and a summer season café. Blackfoot drummers & pow-wow dancers entertain on the outdoor plaza every Wednesday in July & August

Located 18 km north-west of Fort Macleod on Highway 785. The indoor interpretive centre is open daily 10 AM to 5 PM. Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday. For more information, please call (403) 553-2731 or visit the web site at www.head-smashed-in.com
