Bragg Creek is well known as the gateway to Kananaskis Country, a popular activity for visitors is packing a picnic lunch and heading to nearby Elbow Falls or one of the other beautiful leisure areas off Highway 66 for an afternoon in the Rockies. Trails for hikers, bikers, horseback riders and skiers crisscross the thick, wildlife-filled forest and open alpine meadows of the area. For those interested in spending a night under the stars, there are several campgrounds to explore including Gooseberry, Little Elbow, and McLean Creek.
