Join Saddle Peak Trail Rides as they celebrate their 45th season guiding guests along the Eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies. With multiple areas including the Ghost River Valley, Devils Head Mountain, Panther/Dormer River valley, Yaha Tinda we offer rides from 1 hour to multi days. Accommodating riders from novice to experienced.
Rich in outfitting history, operating out of our home based ranch in the Ghost which was homestead in 1934. Dave Richards and family are 4th generation. From the home ranch we offer rides from 1 hour , 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 3.5 hr Pringle Mountain Ridge Ride, all day Ghost River ride as well as 2 day packages. The Crossing at Ghost River provides our guests the pampering hospitality with fine chef dining and accommodation.
Traditional 3 day pack trips with primitive tent accommodation, including meals. Offers guests a unique back country camping trip to the base camp and day ride to world renown Devil’s Head Mountain. Enjoy a steak BBQ with all the trimmings, cowboy breakfasts while on this trip.
Our 3 and 4 day lodge with rustic cabin accommodation complete with creature comforts of a shower house. Located a stones throw from the red deer river. Each day we trailer to a trail head with a different destination. From hidden water falls, lakes, rivers and high mountain ascents the views are endless.
Trips are limited to 6 guests, however, if you have a private group we can make arrangements to accommodate.
Our goal is to help our guests plan their Alberta adventure, tailoring their rides to make the experience memorable and unique.
