Explore Mayerthorpe

While in Mayerthorpe, be sure to visit the Fallen Four Memorial Park. The Fallen Four Memorial Park is a poignant tribute to those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. In a peaceful, serene environment, visitors can reflect while walking among four life-sized statues, feeling the presence of the local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice. Created by a dedicated group of individuals after a national tragedy, this memorial honors the four fallen RCMP officers and their legacy. The design of the park revolves around the number four—representing the officers, the four winds, and the four points of the compass, symbolizing the RCMP’s widespread presence across Canada. At the heart of the park, the four statues are strategically placed to face the four compass directions, reflecting the lasting impact of their sacrifice.
